VMware and Backup Environment Upgraded

ConexNet is constantly striving to be proactive with our customers and move them forward based on a financially justified model. One recent example is a Chicago based client that was running a network on an iMac using VMware fusion with an external hard drive as the sole backup device. We found the risk too high and the performance was becoming unacceptable to the users. We recently put in place a Barracuda Backup server along with new workstations for increased performance. In addition, the iMac was replaced by a new Dell host and all virtual machines were transferred over from the iMac to the new host without incident or down time. As a result, network speed and reliability has been dramatically improved.
