Increasing Security to Combat Cyberthreats | CM
Multiple levels of security are critical to keep your network safe as cyberthreats are constantly evolving. Recently a client had the unfortunate experience of being hit by a ransomware attack. Luckily, a combination of user awareness, antivirus protection and backups made the potential disaster into only a brief but valuable lesson on network defense. Antivirus managed to stop the accompanying Trojan virus before any major damage was done.
In some cases, tight file-sharing security prevented files from being altered or removed at all, while the files that were corrupted were easily replaced thanks to a stringent backup regime. Things could have been disastrous, but being prepared on multiple fronts always proves to be the best defense.
