A client running an upgrade for their main database software from their vendor hit a snag when two workstations kept crashing during the process rendering the software unusable. They found themselves between a rock and a hard place when they could not resolve themselves and the vendor’s support staff felt the issue was beyond the scope of their responsibility and washed their hands of it. With two users unable to work they reached out to us to step in and try to find a solution. With a little research and some trial and error we were able to get the workstations upgraded and functional again putting the two users back on track and showing the client that even when issues may fall outside our wheelhouse, we will still do everything we can to resolve the issue.
